For this album, we created a minimal punk universe that balanced the delicacy and fear that can come with expressing uncomfortable emotions. We wanted to create a sense of discomfort without being frightening, translating those feelings into a visually sleek mature concept for Monstruos artwork.
SHOW DESIGN BRUSES MONSTRUOS TOUR 2023 -
Stage design, conceptualization, light design, visuals art work and live cctv direction.
For this performance, we brought the album’s handmade monsters to life at a larger scale, interacting with Bruses as both protectors and watchers. Monochrome light design and visual created an intimate atmosphere, while monster-shaped lamps gave each musician their own guardian, CCTV added a raw punk-rock edge, bringing Bruses and the audience closer while a romantic, spooky environment came to life around them.
BRUSES ROOM TOUR 2021 - 2022
Stage dressing, artwork, live direction, wardrobe and merchandise design.
For these shows, we engaged fans through giveaways and key happenings, including a marching band featuring fans, and moments where others joined Bruses on stage to sing her current hit and hand out roses to the audience. Visually, we blended a punk / emo DYI aesthetic with romantic elements, while highlighting Bruses’ signature brand bunny mascot.
BRUSES FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES 2024
Creative direction, stage dressing, artwork visuals, live production direction.
For this creative era, we explored a color palette opposite to Bruses’ previous work, shifting from pink to yellow, red to green, and so on. The live show embraced a spooky aesthetic and a clear storyline, set on a Southern U.S. street and transforming the stage into a conventional suburban block with a punk twist.
STYLING MTV VIDEO AWARDS BRUSES
Character design, creative direction, styling for best rock female nomination.
Since Bruses had attended awards before and always felt like a misfit, we wanted to embrace that feeling through fashion. Strong, club kidz / drag-inspired while staying true to her punk-emo identity.
