NoteP - Pakarang

Set design and sculptural  art installation for the showcase of Pakarang (coral in Thai).

The structure is based on the pattern-making of Maison Margiela’s 1998 Semi-Couture dress, finding parallels with the symmetry patterns and natural forms of marine fossils.

We mixed both foundations together into a unique skeletal structure, using fabric to create organic curves and forms that change with every installation while preserving its fossil-like essence. Designed to fit inside a suitcase, the piece was created and designed to travel easily with Thai artist NoteP to be presented in Mexico City, Bangkok, Paris and Tokyo.
